Since our founding in 2007, Kennari Consulting’s mission is to build strong communities developed by sustainable organizations. Our vision is to change the face of philanthropy, moving nonprofits of all sizes to greater capacity. Our highly skilled staff includes experts in annual fundraising, capital and endowment campaigns, feasibility studies, donor software, and grant strategy.

Relationship-Based Fundraising

Kennari Consulting believes strongly that organizations must shift from transactional-based fundraising to a more relationship and donor-centered model. In this model, the organization understands and values the donor’s perspective and pays attention to how donors behave. It then uses that information to build a customized approach to move donors throughout the continuum of giving. As illustrated in the following chart, there is a typical “path” donors go through to get to their highest and most fully cultivated gift. That dollar level is different for various donors, but this approach values and prioritizes, constantly working to move all donors forward through the cycle.

How We Help You

We design a plan based on your needs and resources which serves how we work together over the course of the contract. Our team is positioned to help you implement best practices by strengthening your board for fundraising, and by ensuring you have the infrastructure and tools necessary to roll out events and activities needed to recruit, renew, and cultivate donors. This is done through meetings with staff and volunteers of your organization.

There can be countless barriers to moving donors forward – lack of resources, limited capacity, incorrect tools, outdated practices, the list goes on. But working with Kennari means identifying those barriers, and then together prioritizing steps to move beyond them. Our work starts with an assessment of your entire development program - including board development, major gift strategy, direct mail & communications, fundraising tools, and events, just to name a few. From the assessment, we then identify the plan of work for the upcoming months.  Next, we engage in an advisory role to help guide accomplishment of the plan of work. Changing systems, growing results, and breaking down barriers doesn’t happen overnight – but it can happen – and Kennari Consulting is committed to being a guiding partner in the work.
